Established in April 2021 under the leadership of Dr. Turki N Baroud, the Department of Materials Science and Engineering embodies a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere dedicated to education and world-class basic and applied research across numerous domains of materials science and engineering. In addition to our interdisciplinary graduate program, which equips students with a solid foundation in essential materials disciplines, we proudly introduce the region's first bachelor's degree program in materials science and engineering.
