On Wednesday, December 7th, The Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) department at KFUPM hosted a unique and distinguished guest Nobel Laureate Prof. Sir Konstantin Novoselov. During the visit, Prof. Novoselov met the President and leadership at KFUPM and heard a brief about the research, innovation, and education activities at KFUPM. Also, he visited the Dhahran techno valley at KFUPM including the Tech Advancement & Prototyping Center, Entrepreneurship institute, Sipchem, and research centers including (IRC H2 & Energy Storage, IRC - Advanced Materials, IRC Refining & Advanced Chemicals)

In addition, Prof. Novoelsov delivered a seminar on materials for the future which was attended by more than a thousand faculty, researchers, and students.

Prof. Novoelov stressed the importance of the field of materials science and the key role it will play in the future.

Prof. Novoeslov visited the MSE department and met the MSE faculty. He commended the efforts and the quality of students, programs, and research at KFUPM.
