Dr. Rashed Aleisa is an adjunct faculty professor at the Materials Science and Engineering department of King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Rashed joined Saudi Aramco as a research scientist on 2010 after completing his undergraduate degree (2010) in Chemistry from Aston University, UK. He has an MS.c. degree from North Carolina University in 2013. He completed his Ph.D in materials science from the University of California at Riverside under the supervision of Prof. Yadong Yin, where he focused on the responsiveness-engineering of nanostructured materials. His research interests also include nanocatalysis, smart nanomaterials, materials self-assembly, and sustainable processes to produce renewable chemicals. Dr. Rashed has published more than 30 publications and conferences in top-tier journals such as the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS), Angewandte Chemie, ACS NANO, and nanoletters. He is currently leading a research team in Saudi Aramco R&D focusing on the sustainability technologies in the petrochemical industry.
