Background:
Dr. Jie Ren received the Ph.D. in Construction Materials from the University of Melbourne in December, 2019, B.E. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Tongji University, Shanghai, China in 2014. Before joining KFUPM, I worked as a postdoctoral associate at University of Colorado Boulder and senior research fellow at Shenzhen University. Dr. Ren had a half-year experience (Feb.2014-Aug.2014) in UPM, Madrid as an exchange student and worked as part-time research assistant in the University of Melbourne before graduation.
 
Professional Interests:
Alkali-activated materials, geopolymer concrete, solid waste utilization, low-carbon cementitious materials and materials chemistry.
