We’re excited to announce the successful conclusion of our three-week Undergraduate Research Campaign at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at KFUPM! The campaign aimed to introduce our undergraduate students to the eight unique research tracks available, providing them with the tools and knowledge to take their academic journey to the next level.

What We Did: Throughout the campaign, we engaged with students through classroom visits, flyers, and announcements to raise awareness about the various research opportunities at KFUPM.

The culmination of the campaign was an informative introductory meeting designed to give students deeper insights into these research tracks. During the session, we were thrilled to hear from Dr. Qamar, who shared inspiring stories from his own research journey. His experiences emphasized the importance of overcoming challenges and the valuable lessons learned along the way.

One of our junior MSE students also took the stage to talk about his experience in the International Summer Research Track, offering attendees a glimpse into the growth and opportunities that come from participating in global research projects.

Words of Encouragement: Our Chairman delivered a motivating speech, highlighting the significance of research and its impact on shaping both academic and professional futures. He encouraged students to explore research opportunities and take on challenges that will help them grow as individuals and professionals.

The Takeaway: As we always say, “You won’t truly understand research until you try it!” We hope that this campaign has inspired our students to take the next step and dive into the world of research.
