We are thrilled to have our newest batch of undergraduate preparatory year students on the welcoming and orientation day, to break the ice and equip them for the journey at
Materials Science and Engineering Department, KFUPM.
The event started with the welcoming speech by the Chairman Dr.
Nayef Alsaifi, followed by
Alaa Alyousif, a recent graduate, and
Alaa Alshaikhi, a current sophomore. Both speakers shared their unique and motivating experiences, providing insightful advice on navigating the academic and personal challenges that lie ahead.
As a new chapter in their life, the students were provided with essential guidance and tips on adapting to their new environment by
Moayad Sabeeb, a current sophomore, and
Buthaynah Alaqil, female advisor. This included practical advice on studying, time management, and making the most of their university experience.
As a symbolic start to their journey, each student received a name tag, marking the beginning of their adventure as MSE students. This small token signifies their entry into a community of future scientists and engineers, ready to take on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
