Chairman of the MSE Department, Dr. Turki was invited to a panel discussion by Forbes Middle East on the role of science and technology in solving some of the most pressing industry and environmental challenges at “3M Futures: Accelerating scientific Innovations for A Sustainable Tomorrow”. Dr. Turki represented KFUPM and focussed that KFUPM is passionate about Material Science and Engineering which can be the catalysts for solving real-world problems such as global climate change and energy crisis. This is being achieved by developing a consortium focussing on designing innovative materials, an Interdisciplinary research center for Advance Materials, and founding the Material Science and Engineering Department, the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia.
