The faculty members from MSE visited Ma’aden to seek feedback regarding their current and future needs for future graduate placement with a BS in MSE for the first batch of MSE students who will graduate in 2024-2025. In addition, the need to have summer training for the students in the upcoming summer was also discussed. The representatives from Ma’aden which included Vice Presidents and directors of various business lines were presented with the introduction to Material Science Engineering, the undergraduate degree plan, and core and elective courses. Understanding the needs and interests of the future employers of the graduate is an important element for the success of any program, thus MSE continues to keep an active engagement with the industry representative. It is worth highlighting that Ma’aden is among the fastest-growing mining companies in the world and the largest multi-commodity mining and metals company in the Middle East which is ranked among the top 10 global mining companies based on market capitalization.
