The Materials Science and Engineering Department, KFUPM at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals - KFUPM has reached an important milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Materials Engineering Association (MEA) in Saudi Arabia, effective October 1, 2025.

This strategic MoU aims to advance collaboration in academic activities, research, professional training, and knowledge sharing within the fields of materials engineering and corrosion, while strengthening industry–academia engagement in alignment with national priorities.

The department extends its sincere thanks to the MoU signatories, Dr.Hassan Baaqeel, PhD, Dean of College of Chemicals and Materials-KFUPM , and Dr.Tariq A. Alghamdi, Ph.D., Chairman of the Materials Engineering Association, for their leadership and commitment in formalizing this collaboration.

This achievement reflects the continued efforts of the MSE Department under the supervision and leadership of its Chairman, Dr. Nayef Alsaifi, PhD , in fostering impactful and sustainable partnerships.

The MSE Department looks forward to a productive partnership with MEA that will contribute to research excellence, talent development, and technological advancement.
