On December 4th, the
Materials Science and Engineering Department, KFUPM had the privilege of visiting ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Jubail (AMTPJ) to discuss exciting opportunities for future collaboration.
The meeting focused on key areas such as:
· Developing local talent through training and skill-building initiatives
· Bridging the gap between academia and industry by aligning educational programs with real-world needs
· Creating hands-on training opportunities that prepare students for the challenges of modern industry
· Exploring potential student projects that tackle real-world industrial challenges and enhance innovation in the sector
Both KFUPM and AMTPJ are committed to nurturing the next generation of engineers who will play a pivotal role in supporting Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. Our discussions centered on how we can work together to create an environment where students gain practical, industry-relevant experience, while also driving forward the growth and technological advancement of local industries.
